What is a Knit-A-Long?

Knit and Create with Confidence

The Knit-A-Long projects offer you the opportunity to make your first wearable, giftable knitting project whether that be a Headband, Beanie Hat or Sock with confidence. Every step is clearly and calmly explained and demonstrated by me, your enthusiastic knitting teacher.

Each Knit-A-Long comes with a downloadable PDF of the pattern and lifetime access, so you can make as many items as you choose, all with the confidence of having a knitting teacher in your pocket anytime you want a reminder or assurance of a technique or stage.

I offer 3 different Knit-A-Long projects, all designed especially for beginner knitters, see below to learn about each of them.

Start with one and then knit them all!

Beginner Project Level 1

The Chunky Headband

A perfect complete beginner knitting project, wearable and gift worthy and demonstrated step by step from start to finish

The Chunky Headband Knit-a-Long will result in something you will feel proud to wear, or gift-wrap and deliver to a loved one!

Together we will cast on (start) before you then choose between two different stitch patterns, every step demonstrated with clarity and ease.

We will then cast off (finish) together and sew the ends to create that beautiful turban style knot. The project comes with a PDF of the knitting pattern so you can follow along easily and knit as many headbands, in both stitch patterns, as you desire.

The Beanie Hat: 3 Ways

Beginner Project Level 2

Fall seasonal display with colorful leaves, pinecones, a lit candle in a glass holder, and knitted hats in black and pink with dark gray and bright pink stripes, arranged on a weathered wooden surface.

Ready to take your knitting from scarves, cushion covers and blankets and gain some new knitting skills? The Beanie Hat is the Knit-A-Long project to do just that. Knit your own wearable and gift worthy beanie, in any of the 3 colourways demonstrated.

Together we will cast on (start), knit a cosy cuff, learn to knit in the round before then shaping that crown and finally casting off and weaving our ends in together with ease.

All Knit-A-Longs come with a downloadable PDF of the knitting pattern so you can follow along easily and knit as many beanies, in as many different colour combos, as you choose!

Intermediate Project Level 1
