15 November
Lesson 1
2 hours
We’ll cast on and join in the round together, keeping those pesky twisted stitches at bay.
You’ll get wonderfully comfortable and familiar with the Magic Loop method on circular needles as we knit the ribbed cuff, switch needles and ease straight into knitting the leg together.
Homework: Completing your preferred leg length in the 2 weeks between classes.
29 November
Lesson 2
2.5 hours
We start with a cosy check-in to clear up any lingering questions and smooth out any hurdles together.
We'll then settle right into knitting the heel flap, turning the heel (the real magic part!), picking up stitches, and shaping the gusset - guiding ourselves smoothly back to our original stitch count so we can effortlessly knit the foot.
Homework: Finishing your gusset and knitting your preferred foot length in the 2 weeks between classes.
13 December
Lesson 3
2 hours
Our final class together, we will shape the toe and graft our stitches together to complete our sock.
Before we wrap up, we’ll review the pattern and I’ll make sure you feel completely confident to cast on your second sock and complete your hand-knitted pair of socks at home.
Homework: Celebrating what you learnt and casting on your second sock - don’t leave the first sock lonely!
What can you expect?
A small and friendly community of fellow beginners to learn alongside - no pressure, just encouragement and fun.
Connection and conversation (because learning is better with chat and laughter!)
A chance to swap doomscrolling for something nourishing, tactile, and joyful.
Silly stories that make techniques memorable, friendly guidance that feels like learning from a friend, and a safe space where every question is welcome and every small win is celebrated.
