In this easy to follow, calmly paced beginner knitting class, we cover the basic knitting skills: Casting On (starting), the Knit Stitch and Casting Off (finishing). All clearly demonstrated with 1 camera on my hands and another on my face. Accompanied by silly stories to help you remember each technique with ease and humour. Perfect to dip your toe in to see if you like knitting and my teaching style!
In the second beginner knitting basics video class, we cover an additional Cast On method, the Purl Stitch and how to combine both Knit and Purl stitches to create 3 different stitch patterns: The Stockinette Stitch Pattern, Rib Stitch Pattern and Moss/Seed Stitch Pattern. This class also teaches you how to 'read' your knitting so you can create the texture you want with intention and confidence.
In this knitting class we will cover; How to Join Yarn, How to Knit Stripes (while avoiding multiple yarn ends) and How to Knit with the popular Stranded Colour-work technique. A fun and inspiring knitting skills class, after which you will be able to knit both stripes and multi coloured graphic patterns into your projects with ease! I will even show you how to design your own colour-work patterns...
In this stand-alone knitting skills class, we cover 6 commonly used shaping techniques that are the backbone to any garment that has a curve - necklines, armholes, heels of socks, toes of socks, crowns of hats etc etc. By mastering these popular increase and decrease methods you are also introduced to the world of knitting abbreviations, the first step in approaching knitting patterns with confidence.
Let's de-mystify knitting patterns! In this knitting class we will cover; How to approach a knitting pattern and break it down into manageable pieces. How to substitute yarn and understand Tension. A knitting class to clear the overwhelm and make knitting patterns feel a lot more accessible. Circular Knitting is amazing, speedy and addictive! In this knitting lesson I show you how to knit with all 3 methods from standard Circular to Magic Loop and Double Pointed Needles. If you want to add knitting Hats, Socks, Gloves and Raglan Sweaters to your knitting skillset this is the class to make that happen. You will need circular knitting needles in 40cm and 80cm+ lengths and Double Pointed Needles for this class
