Welcome to your easy to follow, step by step, cuff down sock knitting tutorial. I’m so excited to introduce you to the magical world of sock knitting!
This 3 part pre-recorded video course is fully chaptered so you can rewind, fast forward and re-watch at your own pace. Find the relevant knitting pattern section available to download inside each class.
For the Beginner Sock Knit-A-Long you will need:
1× 2.5mm 80cm circular needles
1× 2.75mm 80cm circular needles
350 metres of Sockweight yarn
1x Stitch Marker
1x Pair of Scissors
1x Tapestry Needle
1x Measuring Tape
Some Scrap Yarn or a Stitch Holder
A Pencil + Paper or printout of the Beginner Sock Knitting Pattern (available to you once you open the class below)

Let's Start Knitting Your Sock
In Part One of the Beginner Sock Knitting Course we will look at all the different sections involved in knitting a sock and the tools we will need. We will then cast on, joining our stitches in the round and knit the cuff of our sock.
Following that we will transfer our work to the bigger needles and knit the leg.

Now to Knit The Sock Heel
After a recap of what we have achieved so far we will start the heel of our sock, including turning it - prepare to be amazed at how incredible your new skills are!
We will then pick up stitches and start our gusset shaping.

Shaping the Gusset, Knitting The Foot, The Toe + Finishing Our Sock
We will shape the gusset using shaping techniques, all clearly demonstrated step by step before knitting the foot.
Following that we will shape the toe and finally, graft our toe stitches together to FINISH our sock together!
Allow room for your victory dance as after this knitting class, your knitted sock is finished and ready to wear!
